Online US Stocks Trading Particulars
Trading hour
Trading hour of NYSE, NASDAQ and AMEX is Hong Kong Time 9:30pm to 4:00am (Summer Time - April to October) and 10:30pm to 5:00am (Winter Time - End of Oct to March). There is no break in between.
Stocks available
At the moment, online US stock trading provides stocks from NYSE, NASDAQ and AMEX only.
Settlement Date
The settlement date is T+3 (US trading day).
Settlement Funds
Since settlement date is T+3 for US stocks, the funds that are not yet settled cannot be used to open new positions. For example, if you sold a particular stock on Monday, the fund that is released will only be available on Thursday.
