a broker-customer relationship with an individual;
an individual’s relationship with our corporate customer; or
an individual being on our premises.

We never sell data of any kind. We will always inform an individual the purpose for which we collect, use and disclose personal data.

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

Instances of when personal data may be collected:

in the application or request for our products or services and that of our business partners’ and affiliates’;
when opening accounts;
while communicating with us; or
closed circuit television recordings on our premises.

We only collect what we believe is necessary in our quest to provide superb service and to run our business.

USE OF PERSONAL DATA

We may use personal data as follows:

to assess and process applications or requests;
to operate our customers’ accounts;
to introduce products or services; or
to enable our business partners and affiliates to assist us with the above tasks.

We will explain and seek permission before using personal data for purposes which have not been stated above.

DISCLOSURE AND RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA

Just like customers are assured of the security of their money and other assets deposited with us, we also keep individuals’ and customers’ personal data private and confidential. Our business partners and affiliates are obliged to keep confidential individuals’ and customers’ personal data besides adhering to regulatory standards on protecting personal data. We and our business partners and affiliates may only disclose and retain personal data to the extent legally permissible.

We will seek individuals’ and customers’ consent in the event we need to disclose their personal data in situations we believe are necessary.

An individual has the right:

not to provide any personal data which we may request – This may result in our inability to provide our products or services including being unable to open or manage the individual’s or customer’s accounts; or
to access or correct personal data or withdraw consent.

We may charge processing fees in relation to requests for access to an individual’s personal data or to correct it or to withdraw consent for its collection, use and disclosure.
